Block Island Hotels and Places to Stay
Whether you are staying overnight with a fishing buddy or in for 2 weeks with the entire family, Block Island has the accommodations for you. Everybody is different. What works for some surely may not work for others.
Contact the Block Island Chamber of Commerce or Block Island Reservations for more information.
Renting a place or staying at a Hotel/B&B? I'm the renting type. It saves you a heap of cash when you can prepare your own meals. It's way more private and when it's at least a week long stay most rentals are just plain cheaper. If you just want to come out and relax and not have to cook and cleanup after yourself then the Hotel/B&B is a better choice FYI- The Narragansett, Champlins & Paynes Overlook are the closest places to the boat which is at the Block Island Boat Basin (The Oar Restaurant).
Budget minded anglers looking for the best Deal. For hard core fishing nuts usually the bare minimum is just fine. The Narragansett Inn is only a few hundred feet from the boat. The Water Street Inn and The New Shoreham House are also reasonable but are in town (Old Harbor).
High End Accommodations on Block Island. I think the nicest place on Block Island is Payne's Overlook. Bye far the best view belongs to the Springhouse Hotel. You can also check out the Blue Dory, and the Manasses-1661.
Here are various hotels, motels, and bed/breakfast places we recommend for your stay on the Island. |
